Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress born in Berkeley on the 1st October 1995. She is an acclaimed actress that has appeared in Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006,) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House.

Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into a family of actors and filmmakers, both occupations which she's been pursuing. In 1985 she made her acting debut in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni. She played the lead as Cristina Comencini in her first film Zoo, 1988. Michele Soavi directed The Church 1989. The following year she played Nanni Moretti's daughter Red Wood Pigeon (1989) (also directed by Moretti). Close Friends (1992) by Michele Placido (both writer and director) is where Asia really began to take off. It allowed her to progress from roles that were primarily young girls to more complicated adult characters. The film was well-received in the Cannes International Film Festival. Trauma was the first film she produced with her father. Her mother Daria Nicoledi, is Argento's favorite actress. In Trauma she portrayed an anorexic seeking her parents' murderer. The Phantom of the Opera is a film that was created together with her father who passed away and is the final of three films she's acted in. The other two were Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni employed her deeply absorbed and intense manner of acting in Condannato, a nozze. She also had a featured role in the international cast of Queen Margot which was directed by Patrice Chereau. In 1995, her collaboration alongside Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another award from David di Donatello as well as Grolla of Oro. Asia began directing short films in 1994. Two of them were made: Prospettive in 1996. She directed a documentary about her father; and Abel/Asia in 1998, about the famous film director Abel Ferrara. This latter was awarded at the Rome Film Festival. Asia's debut feature film is Scarlet Diva (2000) in 1999. In it, she acted as the lead actress as well as wrote the screenplay. The movie came out on the 20th of May, 2000, in Italy and the rest of world. The film was awarded a prize during the Williamsburg International Film Festival in Brooklyn. Anna Lou, the first of two daughters she has was born in the month of the month of January in 2001. The year 2002 saw Asia in The Red Siren with Jean Marc Barr, and Rob Cohen's Action thriller, which was directed by Vin Diesel. Asia also has a collection of stories that have been published in some of the most prestigious magazines.
